Common questions
What is Consumer Loan Score?
Consumer Loan Score is an informational tool that helps you prepare for a conversation with a lender about a home loan, HELOC, or auto loan. The free Guided Check gives you a readiness score from 0 to 100, key ratios such as debt-to-income (DTI), and clear next steps.
Is this my credit score?
No. Your readiness score is an educational estimate based on the information you enter. It is not a credit score, does not come from a credit bureau, and is not used by lenders.
Does checking my readiness pull my credit?
No. There is no credit pull. Consumer Loan Score never checks your credit, so using it does not affect your credit score.
Is Consumer Loan Score a lender?
No. Consumer Loan Score is not a lender or broker. We do not take loan requests, make loans, or match you with lenders. Results are not a credit decision, loan offer, or prediction of approval.
Do I need my SSN or documents to start?
No. You can start the free Guided Check without an SSN or documents. Having recent pay stubs, statements, and your monthly debt payments handy will make your estimates more accurate.
What is debt-to-income (DTI)?
DTI compares your total monthly debt payments to your gross monthly income. Lenders commonly look at it for home loans, HELOCs, and auto loans. Consumer Loan Score calculates it for you and shows what changes would move it.
What's included in the Loan Readiness Kit?
The Kit adds a lender one-pager you can download, print, or share, loan paths with illustrative bands, an interactive document checklist, and saved what-if scenarios.
How much does it cost?
The Guided Check is free. The Loan Readiness Kit is $24.99/year. Renews automatically at $24.99/year. Cancel anytime before renewal. You can manage or cancel anytime in your account.
